Yeppoon and Central Queensland celebrates the Yeppoon Lions’ Tropical Pinefest from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th October 2020

The Real Group Pinefest Parade

This years Pinefest Parade is going to look a little different.  We are providing a great ‘safe’ event for our community and families by hosting the first Pinefest Static Parade along Farnborough Road 5pm to 7pm on Saturday 10th October 2020.

How will it work?

The amazing floats produced by YOU will be parked in the carparks along the Eastern edge (Beachside) of Farnborough Road. With police approval,  traffic from Todds Avenue will be reduced to a low speed environment so that everyone can enjoy the splendour of the parade floats while remaining in their vehicles (travelling towards Yeppoon).

How can you participate?

Firstly, make sure you register your float by completing the nomination form. Email completed applications to

Get creating, remembering your float will be viewed from the right hand side, and the rear of the float first.

Use the #Pinefest2020 hashtag to share your float creations and help get our community excited for the big day!

Deliver your float between 3.45pm and 4.30pm in its aside spot.

On Saturday 10th October, bring your family and friends to take a leisurely drive along Farnborough Road and live the fun of the 2020 Pinefest parade.

Parade Rules

All floats must be pre-registered with Yeppoon Lions Club. (Applications available here, if you missed it above). Email completed applications to

Floats must be in place by 4.30pm and remain stationary until 7pm.

Unfortunately, there will be no pedestrian access, therefore no goods or marketing materials able to be distributed to patrons.

All elements of your float must be secured to reduce risk of items flying away/impact on the environment.

On the Day

Limited physical attendance is required, with no more than 4 persons per float able to be on site at any one time.

All attendees to site will be required to sign in at the entry points, and follow COVID – 19 directions.


Can I register more than one float? Definitely the more the merrier, but you must register each individually.

How will floats be ordered? Similar to previous years, we will have a limited number of reserved spots for our Parade sponsor and the Lions club, after which, everyone will be entered on a first comes, first serves basis.

Why do we need to register? We need to register all floats due to COVID requirements, and require float sizes to ensure our road closures are adequate.

The Ray White Yeppoon Pinefest Drive In Picture Show

Join us for an old fashion Drive In @ the Barmaryee Sports Fields. $20 per vehicle, per session.

Film 1 Small Foot- @ 6.30pm (1.5-hour film) entry from 5.30pm

Film 2 Red Dog – @ 8.30pm (1.5-hour film) entry from 7.30pm

Pre-event registration is a must. Please note the registration form has an error… Forms must be submitted by September 30th 2020.

Food vendors will be available on site, however this is a no trace event. All rubbish must be removed by it’s owners.
